Harvest Time Blues Festival, Monaghan Town — September

Since 1990, the Harvest Time Blues Festival has brought one of Ireland's leading live music experiences to Monaghan Town every September. Van Morrison, Peter Green, and Mick Taylor are among the legendary names who've played over the years. The format runs across three strands: the Main Stage marquee hosting international headliners until the early hours; the intimate Acoustic Room in the 18th-century Market House; and the Blues Trail, a rolling programme of free live gigs in pubs across the town.

The 2026 edition features Hothouse Flowers closing the Sunday Main Stage — the Dublin band known for blending gospel, trad, and blues — alongside a New York blues-rock vocalist making her Irish debut and French blues-rock outfit FRANK.
